The Client approached RWA with initial thoughts about alterations to their house to make it sustainable as a place of retirement, where family could stay when visiting and that could provide a source of income. We developed proposals to create a self-contained ground floor apartment with the upper floor sub divided to form a self contained flat for rent along with family accommodation accessed from the parents’ ground floor flat.

The drawings were developed sufficient to seek budget costs and a pre-application consultation was submitted to Southampton City Council. SCC responded very positively to the proposals which would have been recommended for approval.
